DOCOMO Communications Laboratories Europe, the Munich based research subsidiary of Japan’s premier mobile communications operator, NTT DOCOMO, is a multicultural research laboratory with over 30 researchers focused on the innovation of future mobile technologies. We currently have several fun and exciting openings in the RCS team for:

Working Students / Interns (m/f)
(Werkstudenten / Praktikanten)


These open positions will allow work students and interns to learn and gain hands on experience with three enabling technologies, including Next Generation Web, GSMA Rich Communication Suite (RCS) and the 3GPP’s IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), while we innovate on top of our new research testbed. We are looking for creative technology focused work students and interns to join our team to help in realizing our research vision of next generation personalized mobile services.

Applicants with previous programming experience and an interest in applying those technical skills toward the creation of innovative mobile services will be exposed to the following technologies:
•	You will get hands on experience developing mobile services using Java and the Python programming languages
•	You will get hands on experience with next generation web services and Rich Internet Application (RIA) web-based development using technologies such as Flash, Silverlight, and HTML5
•	You will get hands on experience and knowledge of Voice/Data communications (SIP and TCP/IP)
•	You will get hands on experience and knowledge of Linux and mobile operating systems and their associated development environments

Due to our multicultural working environment applicants should have good English language skills, both reading and conversational.


Selected applicants will be assigned the following tasks:
•	To prototype innovative mobile services leveraging extended Instant Messaging with enhanced Presence and Content Sharing
•	Development of distributed network components that leverage next generation Web and RCS technology
•	Preparation and presentation of internal R&D-oriented demonstrations
